Ann Ardoin has been the longest serving member of the Democratic Party Executive Committee where she worked as chairperson, vice-chairperson, and secretary and treasurer.

She has served for more than thirty years as Chief Deputy Clerk of Court of Lafayette Parish. She retired in 2000 as Clerk of Court.

She attended as an elected delegate to the 1984 Democratic National Convention in San Francisco for the 7th Congressional District as a Gary Hart delegate.
