Nureaka Ross, born and raised in
Lafayette's District 5, is the Democratic
Party Executive Committee (DPEC)
representative. As an African American
woman, devoted mother, and former Army
geospatial intelligence analyst, she brings a
wealth of experience and dedication to her
role.
At 27, Nureaka ran for Lafayette City
Council, inspiring youth to engage civically.
Her military background instilled values of
perseverance and unity, which she now
uses to address district issues and ensure
equitable representation.
Nureaka is committed to fostering
community empowerment and advocating
for policies that uplift all residents,
particularly those in underserved areas.
She strives for a stronger, more inclusive
future where every voice is heard and
valued.
