James Thomas is the current Chairman of the Lafayette Parish Democratic Executive Committee. James has been on the Executive Committee for the past eight years. He is the youngest member to ever get elected to the DPEC at the age of 18. His family instilled in him a deep sense of commitment to public service at an early age. In 2019, James ran for the Lafayette Parish Council taking 42% of the vote. James loves spending time with family, friends, and enjoying life. He is currently in Operations for Transportation for the Lafayette Parish School System.
