Clancy Ratliff is a professor, wife, and mother of three children living in Lafayette, Louisiana. She teaches writing and is involved with several community organizations devoted to antiracism and environmentalism, including Sierra Club Delta Chapter, Move the Mindset, The Village 337, Citizens Climate Lobby, Acadiana Regional Coalition on Homelessness and Housing, Louisiana Association of Sports, Outdoor Adventure, and Recreation (LASOAR), and DSA (Democratic Socialists of America) Southwest Louisiana. She is active in her congregation at First Presbyterian Church in Lafayette.
